Over the course of the past few years, Barcelona has recruited a significant number of players from Manchester City, which dominates the Premier League. These players have been acquired by Barcelona.
The arrival of Ferran Torres to the team occurred in January 2022, which was six months after the arrival of Sergio Aguero and Eric Garcia. It was during the summer of 2021 when Ferran Torres made his very first appearance.
A free transfer was used by the Blaugrana to acquire Ilkay Gundogan, who had previously served as the captain of Manchester City. This acquisition took place during the summer of the previous year. At the same time, the Blaugrana continue to demonstrate their interest in Bernardo Silva, who has been a transfer target for a considerable amount of time.
Julian Alvarez is the player who Barcelona has their sights set on.
As of right now, SPORT is reporting that Barcelona has caught sight of yet another player from Manchester City for their consideration. According to reports, manager Xavi Hernandez is apparently interested in signing attacker Julian Alvarez. It is thought that Hernandez is an admirer of Alvarez, and he hopes to sign him.
The source claims that the head coach of Barcelona “really likes” the Argentine forward who is 23 years old and sees him as a quality future reinforcement for the team. The Argentine forward is now playing for Barcelona.
There have been several situations in which Alvarez has been mentioned as a potential target for the La Liga champions, and this is not the first time that this has taken place.
As an additional point of interest, even though Vitor Roque is expected to join in Barcelona the following year, the club would still want to have another striker of high caliber take over for Robert Lewandowski in the long run.
Taking into consideration the fact that the young attacker has already proven his quality at Manchester City and with the Argentine national team, this is the point at which someone like Alvarez has the ability to make a contribution to the situation.

However, signing Alvarez will be anything but easy for Barcelona, considering that the 23-year-old has a long-term contract with Manchester City until 2028.
It had been previously reported that the Argentine international has an exit clause that could make him an attainable target.
But those rumours were subsequently shot down and it is believed that even if Man City were to consider a sale, they would hold out for a fee in excess of €80 million.
So, as things stand, any move for Alvarez from Barcelona, in their current financial situation, seems extremely unlikely. It remains to be seen if things change in the future
