Portuguese sensation Cristiano Ronaldo is ranked second on the list of players who have received the highest wage in the Premier League each season thus far, according to data that was just made public by the Mirror.

Because of the disparities in financial potential between teams, the Premier League is the European competition renowned for offering its players the biggest salary. Since the inaugural season in 1992–1993, player earnings have increased dramatically, according to data just made public by the Mirror. More precisely, with a salary of 11,000 euros a week in the first two seasons (1992–1993), Liverpool’s John Barnes became the most paid player in the Premier League. 

That is a dreadful disparity when you consider that Kevin de Bruyne, the best paid player in the Premier League right now, makes 465,000 euros a week. The Belgian player, however, did not turn out to be the most paid player on the list of Premier League players who have received their greatest income each season thus far. Actually, the Premier League’s highest wage earner for each of the previous three seasons is none other than former Welsh winger Gareth Bale. Bale is on loan from Real Madrid to Tottenham for the 2020–21 season. The Spanish royal club pays the majority of Bale’s 650,000 euros a week wage.
