The Phoenix Suns, already grappling with the absence of star guard Bradley Beal due to back problems this season, faced another setback on Friday night when Beal suffered a devastating ankle injury against the New York Knicks. 

This unfortunate event adds to Beal’s injury-ridden season, raising concerns among the Suns and their supporters about the team’s ability to cultivate synergy and unity within its star-studded roster.

Beal’s turbulent season took a darker turn as he sustained a severe ankle injury during the game against the New York Knicks. The injury occurred after Beal fell awkwardly on Donte DiVincenzo’s ankle following a 3-pointer. Consequently, Beal had to exit the court and was promptly ushered into the locker room for evaluation, leaving not only fans but also teammates anxious about his well-being.

In response to inquiries about whether the Suns feel snake-bitten after Beal’s injury, Kevin Durant, one of his teammates and a key player for the Valley of the Sun, dismissed the notion of bad luck. 

Durant stated, “Bad luck? You believe in that? I don’t even look at life that way. S[word]t happens, that’s a part of it. Brad, we got a great training staff, he got great support behind him, and he’ll be back out there. But to think we got bad luck, I don’t believe in that.”

Beal’s injury comes at a crucial juncture for the Phoenix Suns, who were in the process of establishing chemistry among their star trio of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and the newly acquired Bradley Beal. The Suns had just completed their second game with all three players on the floor, following a 116-112 loss to the Brooklyn Nets in their debut.
