While Kevin Durant has played most of the Phoenix Suns’ matches since the beginning of the season, the remaining two stars, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal, have taken turns retiring due to injury.
Even though he joined the Phoenix Suns for less than a year, scoring superstar Kevin Durant has encountered rumors about being “frustrated” with his new team. Famous as a player who is not afraid to go to social networks to respond to false information, Durant responded to a comment on Instagram about the above rumor.
The scorer born in 1988 said he was tired of what others were fabricating about him: ” Woj (journalist Adrian Wojnarowski – reporter) said that some people feel I am discouraged and no longer interested in playing for the Phoenix Suns too .”
“ It’s weird that there are people who can blatantly lie and fabricate and then attach my name to it. When the coach or teammates at Phoenix Suns said good things about me, why didn’t they mention it? ” Kevin Durant’s comment wrote.
A few hours later, Durant took the field with his teammates in the match against the Houston Rockets and showed that he was not discouraged at all.
The Phoenix star bagged his first triple-double this season (18th in his career), scoring 27 points with 10 rebounds and reaching a career-high 16 assists to help the Suns win 129-113.
“ Last time we went through a series of difficult matches and it was the worst feeling in the NBA. When competing, no one wants to lose, so I’m very happy to win again with my teammates ,” Kevin Durant answered reporters after the match.
Experts say that Kevin Durant has the right to feel a little discouraged amid the Phoenix Suns’ series of poor results.
The club has traded in squad depth to build a trio of superstars with Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal. But except for KD, who played stably from the beginning of the season and led the team in scoring, Booker and Beal took turns sitting out due to injury.
Bradley Beal himself was also unhappy with himself because he had to stop playing: “Not once, not twice, but three times I came close to being at 100% fitness, then got injured and had to stop playing.
Not being able to go on the field and fight with my teammates is the worst thing I’ve had to go through this season. However, I will soon return again to repay the patience of my teammates, who are supporting me every day on this difficult journey.”
From a team with ambitions of competing for the championship before the season, Phoenix Suns now only has an average win-loss record (15-15, 50% win rate).
Currently, the players are still patiently waiting, believing in a brighter future when the physical condition of all three superstars is at its best. Bradley Beal is recovering well and could return in early January, when the Suns’ strength can be most accurately assessed.
