The Phoenix Suns have released their injury report ahead of their Wednesday matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers, revealing that Kevin Durant will be unavailable due to his hamstring injury.
Durant also missed the previous game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday night due to the same injury. Coach Frank Vogel clarified that Durant’s absence was not a result of rest but rather due to tweaking his hamstring in the fourth quarter of a game against the Orlando Magic.
Durant has missed a total of five games this season due to ankle and foot ailments in addition to the recent hamstring issue.
Despite his absence, the Suns secured a victory against the Trail Blazers, with Bradley Beal contributing 21 points. Devin Booker had one of his less productive shooting performances during the game.
Eric Gordon, who was questionable with right calf soreness on Monday, played and scored 12 points. Nassir Little is available despite an orbital fracture, while Damion Lee remains out for the Suns.
The upcoming matchup against the Clippers will be the first meeting between the two teams this season. The Clippers, currently holding the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference, have won 12 of their last 14 games. The Suns, with a record of 18-15, occupy the No. 8 spot in the West. The game is scheduled to tip off just past 7:00 PM Arizona time.
