‘We will discuss this between us’ – the Bayern Munich star spoke up about the Barcelona transfer news

Since the summer of 2023, suggestions have been made that Joshua Kimmich, who currently plays for Bayern Munich, would be moving to Barcelona. There was speculation that the German international player, who is 28 years old, could serve as a substitute for Sergio Busquets; but, due to the club’s financial condition, the transfer did not take place.

Kimmich, on the other hand, remains a target for Barcelona as the summer of 2024 approaches, as the La Liga champions continue to search for a pivot midfielder of the highest caliber.

Barca, on the other hand, is not the only team interested in Kimmich; Paris Saint-Germain, the reigning champions of Ligue 1, have also entered the battle to recruit the midfielder.

In point of fact, recent reports stated that negotiations were already taking place over the possibility of Kimmich moving to Paris Saint-Germain. This led to claims that Barcelona was no longer interested in acquiring his services.

On the other hand, Kimmich has recently addressed the rumors by declaring that he is currently concentrating all of his attention on Bayern Munich without any distractions.

Joshua Kimmich successfully operated on

It was Fabrizio Romano who made the following statement about the German midfielder: “I’m only focused on Bayern.” To me, it is not at all a topic that pertains to winter.

The fact that his contract with Bayern will reach its expiration date in 2025 has been the fuel that has driven the suspicions regarding a transfer. When Kimmich was asked about the possibility of a renewal with the Bavarians, he responded as follows:

It is inevitable that the club will come to me at some point, and we will debate it amongst us, rather than with the media.

As was stated previously, Kimmich is still one of the names that Barcelona is looking to add to their roster in order to bolster the defensive midfield position for the upcoming season.

Other individuals, like Amadou Onana, Martin Zubimendi, and Bruno Guimaraes, who was just recently mentioned, have also been called into question.
