Al Nassr expressed sadness over the cancellation, acknowledging the disappointment for Chinese football fans, particularly those eager to see Ronaldo in action. The club emphasized its commitment to completing the training camp in Shenzhen, expressing gratitude for the warm welcome from Chinese fans.

In a statement, Ronaldo conveyed his regret, stating, “I’m really sad because Al Nassr and myself have come to China to enjoy the tour. Unfortunately, I have some problems, but this is part of football and my life.”

Inter Miami could now have pre-season fixture cancelled due to Cristiano Ronaldo

The cancellation raises concerns about Ronaldo’s availability for upcoming matches, including the Riyadh Season Cup, a friendly tournament scheduled in early February in Saudi Arabia. The Portuguese forward may be an injury doubt for Al Nassr’s clash with Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami on February 1 and their encounter with Al Hilal a week later. Ronaldo’s absence from a potential reunion with Messi would disappoint fans anticipating the iconic matchup.
