Lamine Yamal scored solo like Lionel Messi
Even though Barcelona lost to Athletic Bilbao, Lamine Yamal still had a brilliant moment worthy of praise.
Lamine Yamal had an impressive performance against Betis and deserves to continue to be trusted in today’s Copa del Rey quarter-final against Athletic Bilbao. Gorka Guruzeta scored the opening goal for the away team, but Robert Lewandowski and Yamal scored in turn, helping the Catalan giants take the lead in the first half.
Yamal is Barcelona’s treasure.
Yamal’s goal will still be mentioned a lot, as it reminds of the familiar goals of the legendary Lionel Messi. The 16-year-old player dribbled the ball on the right wing, cut inside and then shot a low shot, sending the ball lightly but dangerously, leaving goalkeeper Unai Simon unable to do anything more.
Yamal deserves praise from Xavi Hernandez: “Lamine with the ball at his feet, he is amazing. Lamine actually rarely loses the ball and is always involved in every duel situation. Besides scoring goals, he also plays very well. Lamine is an extraordinary talent.”
It’s a shame that Barcelona couldn’t maintain their advantage. Oihan Sancet helped Bilbao equalize in the second half, and in extra time, Inaki Williams and Nico Williams scored two more goals, causing Coach Xavi and his team to sadly stop.
