Rookie Bryan Zaragoza plans to join Bayern Munich in the summer of 2024, but persistent injuries to key players make the Gray Tigers consider pulling the young player to Allianz right in this January transfer window.
Bayern wants to have Zaragoza soon to overcome the ιnjury crisis
Bayern Munich overcame a series of European giants to sign a contract until 2029 with young Spanish football talent, Bryan Zaragoza from Granada for 13 million euros. However, the Gray Tigers have an agreement with La Liga representatives for Zaragoza to stay in Granada until the end of the season. This 22-year-old midfielder also wants to stay and help his team successfully survive relegation (still stuck in the penultimate position of the rankings).
Bayern Munich sports director Christoph Freund has just said that there may be an agreement with Granada and Zaragoza personally to bring this midfielder to the Bundesliga in the final hours of the January 2024 transfer window. According to the plan, the transfer market Bundesliga concessions will close at 6pm on Thursday. Bayern Munich is currently only 2 points behind Bayer Leverkusen at the top of the table. The two teams will have a direct cоnfrоntatiоn next week at Bay Arena, so Mr. Freund and coach Thomas Tuchel want Zaragoza early to get acquainted with their new teammates and get ready for this important match.
The reason Mr. Freund wаnted to bring Zaragoza to Allianz Stadium sooner than expected was because Bayern Munich lost two of its wingers to long-term injuries. Serge Gnabry injured his left adductor hamstring and has been out for 4 weeks and needs another 3 weeks to return to training. Kingsley Coman just tore the medial ligament in his left knee and must rest for at least 8 weeks.
“We have agreed to let Zaragoza stay at Granada until the end of the season, but the situation is difficult, so there will be a three-way meeting to discuss a plan to bring this midfielder to Bayern Munich this January.” Granada did not comment on this information because they have not received an official offer from Bayern Munich.
Granada also has a backup plan if Zaragoza leaves the team before the January transfer market closes. The penultimate La Liga team borrows Facundo Pellistri from Manchester United until the end of the season. Zaragoza is Granada’s most effective player since the beginning of the season with 6 goals and 2 assists. In fact, Zaragoza wants to stay in La Liga for another reason: to keep his place in Euro 2024 with the Spanish team.
