Al-Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo’s club, is reportedly considering offering Raphael Varane an enticing opportunity to depart Manchester United. 

Varane’s contract with United is set to expire at the end of the season, and the club has opted not to activate a one-year extension clause, indicating their desire for him to agree to a reduced contract.

Although Varane is open to the idea of renegotiating his contract, he is not willing to accept a significant reduction in his wages. This situation potentially paves the way for him to depart on a free transfer when his contract expires.

Al-Nassr, aware of Varane’s situation, is reportedly prepared to offer him a substantial salary increase, with rumors suggesting wages of £50 million per year. The absence of a transfer fee could further sweeten the deal for Varane, making a move to Saudi Arabia an attractive proposition.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s presence at Al-Nassr has reportedly played a role in attracting other high-profile players like Sadio Mane and Aymeric Laporte. Varane has a longstanding connection with Ronaldo, having been teammates for nearly a decade at Real Madrid and later reuniting at Old Trafford for 18 months.
