Despite the presence of speedsters like Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez, Gakpo’s revelation points to another standout: Luis Diaz.

In a quickfire interview alongside Curtis Jones ahead of the Carabao Cup final, Gakpo shared his recent achievement of hitting a new top speed, placing him among the fastest in the team. However, he made it clear that, statistically, it’s Luis Diaz who holds the title of the fastest player in the Liverpool squad.

Despite Diaz’s return from injury and some changes in his playing style, he continues to make a significant impact on the pitch. Despite facing challenges such as family issues, Diaz has maintained a commendable performance throughout the season, contributing goals and assists to Liverpool’s campaign.

In 32 appearances, including 24 starts, Diaz has notched up nine goals and three assists, showcasing his resilience and determination amidst personal and professional challenges.
