Former German coach Joachim Low has made his final decision regarding leading Bayern Munich.
Joachim Low – the strategist behind Germany’s title win at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil – has not coached a team since 2021, but recently his nаme was mentioned again, this time in connection with Bayern Munich, following the announcement that Thomas Tuchel will leave the team.
Accordingly, the German military leader is rumored to be taking over the Allianz Arena team. However, in a recent interview, he clarified his future plans and confirmed that he will not lead Bayern Munich:
“Bayern are probably not interested in me as a coach and I wouldn’t be interested in Bayern either. I always said another job in Germany was not suitable for me.” Joachim Low told BILD newspaper.

At the age of 64 and with an excellent career not only with the German national team but also Stuttgart, Low has expressed his desire to return to leadership after more than two years of absence. However, he made it clear that he has not yet received a suitable offer and that in any case his interest lies not in Bayern but in managing a national team. Low emphasized that his main focus is the 2026 World Cup , which will be held in North America, specifically the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Looking to the future, Low remаins a prominent figure in the world of football, ready to embark on new challenges that could include leading a national team on the road to the 2026 World Cup.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich will have to find a new coach after the departure of Thomas Tuchel in the summer. Xabi Alonso is currently the Gray Tigers’ top target but is facing fierce competition from Liverpool – the team also targeting the Spanish military leader after the departure of Jurgen Klopp at the end of the season.
