During the summer, everyone at FC Barcelona was quite excited about the additions of Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix, who were both on loan from Manchester City and Atletico Madrid, respectively. Both players were brought in on the final day of the transfer window. 

The two Portuguese internationals arrived on deal terms that were only temporary, and there was no provision in the agreements for a permanent purchase option.

On the other hand, Barcelona has made it very plain that they intend to keep both Cancelo and Felix at the club beyond the current season.

For Cancelo, Barcelona is willing to spend between 15 and 20 million euros.

It has been reported by Ferran Correas of SPORT that Barcelona would be willing to pay a cost of between 15–20 million euros in order to acquire Joao Cancelo from Manchester City on a permanent basis.

All things considered, Cancelo’s performance for Barcelona has been more than satisfactory. His versatility has allowed him to play in a number of places, and he is now a starter on the left side of defense in the absence of Alejandro Balde, who is injured. He arrived to assist at right back, but his mobility has allowed him to play in a variety of positions.

Cancelo has participated in 29 games, with three goals and four assists, and he has scored three goals.

His performance has been praised by Barca, and the player has shown a desire to continue playing. Even though Manchester City is aware that Pep Guardiola does not want Cancelo to be a part of his team, they are still interested in selling him.

Barca is desperate to acquire the Portuguese defender, but they are not willing to pay any price for him. He is under contract with Manchester City until the year 2027, and Barcelona may make a bid for him that ranges between 15 and 20 million euros.

The pressure that Cancelo and Jorge Mendes, Cancelo’s agent, will exert on the English champions will be essential in bringing down the price that they will seek for, which will be higher than what Barca is willing to compensate.
