Recently, La Liga’s official homepage announced that striker Robert Lewandowski (Barcelona) became the tournament’s best player of February.
Over the past month, Lewandowski has shown brilliant form when the Polish star scored 3 goals in 4 La Liga matches against Alaves, Granada and Celta Vigo respectively.
To win this award, the 35-year-old striker surpassed many other outstanding faces such as Federico Valverde, Marcos Llorente, Yuri Beriche and Ante Budimir.
At the moment of receiving the award from the La Liga organizers, Lewandowski could not hide his happy emotions. In addition, the former Bayern Munich star also set goals for himself in the coming period.
“I always want to play my best football, last weekend I didn’t score against Getafe but I’m still satisfied with my overall performance ,” said Lewandowski. “For me, a good striker must know how to score goals and make a big contribution to the team’s play. Of course there will be days when my teammates and I play poorly, but I will always try to contribute to Barca as much as possible.”
This season, the striker born in 1988 still maintains a stable scoring form when Lewandowski has scored a total of 16 times after 32 appearances in all competitions for Barca.
