And in a recent interview with GOAL, Haaland joked that he would have a chance to win the above noble title if Messi retired.

“I have won every tournament at the club level when I was only 23 years old, but I want to conquer many more peaks. Messi is the best player in the world, so I think only when he retires will I and my other colleagues have a chance to win the Golden Ball ,  ” Haaland said.

This season, Haaland still maintains his impressive goalscoring performance as the 23-year-old striker has scored 18 goals after 22 appearances in the Premier League, leading the top scorer list.
