Journalist Dean Jones confirmed that West Ham United star Lucas Paqueta is still Man City’s target.

Lucas Paqueta was the target of Man City’s pursuit in the early part of the summer of 2023, but at that time he was being investigated in a betting scandal that prevented Pep Guardiola’s team from proceeding with the transfer.

At this time, journalist Dean Jones said that the West Ham midfielder is still in the transfer plan of the Etihad Stadium team.

 

Jones told GIVEMESPORT: “To be honest, I don’t think Aston Villa signing Paqueta is a bad move. However, if he leaves West Ham, there will need to be something special about what they promise for him in the future.”

“Watching his performances throughout the season, you could say he was West Ham’s most important player in making their mark on that team.”

“Villa will obviously have to get rid of a few people to get him because I hear that Manchester City are still interested in him and it’s safe to say that’s his next stop,”  Jones added.
