Cristiano Ronaldo was beaming as he posed for a historic picture in Saudi Arabia alongside British heavyweight competitors Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury.
The Al Nassr superstar will be the star of a star-studded guest list for AJ and Francis Ngannou’s fight on Friday at Riyadh’s “Knockout Chaos.”
Since his arrival, Ronaldo, who is already the Saudi Pro League’s poster child, has frequently attended fighting events throughout the Kingdom.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner witnessed both Fury’s victory over Ngannou and Joshua’s most recent fight in December from the stands.
Now, the four athletes have teamed up for a picture with Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Entertainment chairman, His Excellency Turki Alalshikh.
Alalshikh played a key role in the recent heavyweight bouts that Saudi Arabia hosted, such as the undisputed heavyweight world title fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua.
Following the group’s photo sharing on X, the former name of Twitter, His Excellency said that Ronaldo is working on an unidentified project.
“With my dear friends, the world’s best athletes in their sports, and big surprises soon,” he wrote. And in the upcoming months, details about a project in Riyadh including the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo will be revealed.
“And looking forward to Joshua and Ngannou’s bout on Friday… and anticipating the bout of the century between Tyson and Usyk, the undefeated champions.
Only one day has passed since Ronaldo’s return from a two-match ban for making an inappropriate gesture.
He did not respond to further fan cries for Lionel Messi, but he was unable to save Al Nassr from losing to Al Ain 1-0 in the Asian Champions League.
Fury’s brother Roman is competing on the undercard, and the fighter only arrived in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.
Should he defeat Usyk, the Gypsy King will face the victor of AJ vs. Ngannou in a potential scouting mission.
According to Eddie Hearn, Joshua’s promoter, the winner of this fight will face the winner of Fury-Usyk.
We’ve been chasing it for a long time, so it’s a great opportunity for us.”AJ is going to win the heavyweight world championship without a doubt. He will first defeat Francis Ngannou and then the victor of Fury-Usyk.”
