Liverpool Adds Adrian and Musialowski to Europa League Squad for Sparta Prague Clash
Liverpool has made a late addition to their Europa League squad ahead of their highly anticipated clash against Sparta Prague on Thursday night. Manager Jurgen Klopp has included veteran goalkeeper Adrian in the squad, replacing Joel Matip, who is sidelined with a season-ending ACL injury.
Adrian’s inclusion comes after UEFA confirmed Liverpool’s squad for the knockout stages last week. Originally left out due to the maximum allocation of overseas players, Adrian’s addition provides valuable depth in the goalkeeping department.
In addition to Adrian, Liverpool has also added Mateusz Musialowski to their squad, utilizing the option to register players on ‘List B’. Musialowski, a promising 20-year-old talent, joins the squad despite not previously being named, offering Klopp additional options for selection.
While Musialowski’s inclusion has been confirmed, Liverpool still has the opportunity to make further changes to their squad. Jayden Danns, who has featured in recent matches but missed the trip to Prague due to concussion, remains a possible addition for future fixtures.
The current ‘List B’ players include Marcelo Pitaluga (on loan), Fabian Mrozek, Luke Chambers (on loan), Jarell Quansah, Conor Bradley, Harvey Elliott, Stefan Bajcetic, Calum Scanlon, James McConnell, Lewis Koumas, Thomas Hill, Kaide Gordon, Mateusz Musialowski, and Melkamu Frauendorf.
With the second leg against Sparta Prague scheduled at Anfield on March 14th, Liverpool has until the night before to finalize their squad, providing them with flexibility in their selections as they continue their pursuit of European success.
