Speaking in an interview with Jamie Carragher for Sky Sports ahead of Liverpool’s match against Manchester City, Salah acknowledged that Klopp’s departure is a natural part of the football world, likening it to players leaving the club.

Players left the club already. Very important players left the club. The manager is also very important for the club but he’s leaving the club. One day I will leave the club, but no [Klopp leaving won’t impact my future].”

Regarding his own injury status, Salah assured that he is feeling much better and ready to return to action. He also praised the impact of the players signed by Liverpool last summer, describing them as “unbelievable” additions to the team.

During the interview, Salah recounted the surprising moment when Klopp announced his decision to leave the club to the players. He described how the team was caught off guard by the unusual timing of the meeting, which was scheduled for 10:30 am instead of the usual training time at noon.

Salah initially assumed the meeting was about Klopp renewing his contract, but was shocked when teammate Virgil van Dijk informed him that Klopp was leaving.

“Then five minutes before the meeting, [Virgil van Dijk] says to me, ‘Do you know what the meeting is about?’ I said, ‘No?’ He says, ‘The manager is leaving.’ He said, ‘Really, the manager is leaving.’ I said, ‘Are you serious?’ He said, ‘Yeah.’ I said, ‘Why?’ He said, ‘No idea.’

The news came as a surprise to the entire team, as there had been no prior indications or media reports. Klopp’s announcement was unexpected and caught everyone off guard, leaving the players feeling bewildered.

Overall, Salah’s comments reflect a sense of acceptance and understanding regarding Klopp’s departure, emphasizing that it is a normal part of football life. Despite the unexpected nature of the news, Salah remains focused on his own performance and future at Liverpool.
