With a Premier League star in their sights, Manchester City is prepared to bolster its roster during the summer transfer window.

 

Since the summer, Pep Guardiola of Manchester City has been looking for a new central midfield player. Douglas Luiz is one player who Guardiola has considered to replace Ilkay Gundogan. No player has really lived up to the expectations of the Spanish coach, despite the club making several additions for that position. Man City is therefore keen to bolster their midfield and believes Luiz to be a fantastic choice.

Several major teams expressed interest in the Brazilian, who was once a player for Manchester City, after he showed great performances for Aston Villa. The Birmingham club demonstrated their tenacity by turning down bids for Luiz and establishing a lofty asking price of 100 million pounds, demonstrating the marketability of the player.
