In addition, Kyle Walker’s former teammates at Man City, Riyad Mahrez and Aymeric Laporte, also “followed the call of money” to move to the Middle East. While Walker himself has not ruled out the possibility of moving to the Gulf club.

Speaking on the FIVE podcast, the England international said: “I would never say never. The money they paid and everything was obviously an important factor in getting them there. Ronaldo paved the way for everyone to get there. .”

“If they continue to attract players then the league will get better, so why wouldn’t you want to move? But for me, the Premier League is the best league in the world so I want to play in this league as much as possible. as long as possible.”

However, the 33-year-old right-back is currently tied to Man City on a contract until 2026, with fans hoping he will continue to be a star player for The Cityzens and is determined to finish his career at Sheffield United.

Walker added: “As long as my legs are working and I still feel that I can contribute to a certain level. I don’t want to drop too low because the lower I go, the harder it gets I think for something you have.”

“It’s always great at Man City, whether it’s the facilities or the nutrition or other things – but I wanted to end up at Sheffield United. I was there from when I was young until I went to Tottenham and only played five games . I went back on loan for half a season so I think I have about 35 more games. I will play as long as possible but to contribute or even pass on my experience to the younger players, if I can do that.”
