Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s agent, Mamuka Jugeli, is said to have arrived in Barcelona  on Tuesday to watch Napoli’s 3-1 loss in the Champions League last 16, while negotiations over a new contract with the Partenopei continue custom.

Calciomercato.com reports that  Kvaratskhelia’s representative was in Barcelona on Tuesday night (local time) to watch Napoli’s match against the La Liga giants at the Estadi Olimpic.

Kvaratskhelia is one of Napoli’s most important players, but his salary of 1.5 million euros per season does not reflect his true status at Stadio Maradona.

Kvaratskhelia may go to Barca.

Napoli President  Aurelio De Laurentiis recently promised to discuss a contract extension with the player at the end of the season, but negotiations between the two sides are still stalling.

The Georgia international is also linked with a move to Barcelona in the summer, so Jugeli’s presence in Catalunya is likely to fuel speculation about his future in the coming weeks.

Kvaratskhelia, 23 years old, has 10 goals and 6 assists after 37 appearances in all competitions this season.
