Man City may be about to make a historic transfer for Kylian Mbappe after a meeting in Manchester.
Mbappe announced to the PSG president his intention to leave the club at the end of the current season when his contract expires. The 24-year-old almost left PSG in 2022 before signing a new contract, and the French club had hoped to convince him to extend his terms this summer but failed.
Mbappe has long been linked with Real Madrid, and the Spanish giants are strong contenders to sign him when the French striker becomes a free agent.
However, now it seems that Man City is trying to sign Mbappe right under Real Madrid’s nose. According to Cadena Ser, Mabppe’s representatives met with senior figures at Man City last week.
Mpbappe’s main agent is his mother, Fayza Lamari, but the striker is also said to have three other “unofficial” but trusted representatives.
Reports from Cadena Ser say one of Mbappe’s representatives traveled to Manchester and met with senior figures at the club on Monday. There is information that some members of Man City saw Mpappe’s representative at the club’s training center.
On Tuesday, one day after the meeting in Manchester, Mbappe informed PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi of his intention to leave the Parisian club.
If they can successfully recruit Mbappe, Man City will own the two best strikers in the world at the present time and are also the two top candidates for the Golden Ball in the future. And their power will be extremely terrible.
