PANORAMA
With only 16 goals in 30 appearances in La Liga (23 goals in all competitions), Lewandowski’s goal count suԀԀenly decreased and surprised many people. He has been rumored with a move to less competitive leagues in the latter stages of his career.
WHAT DOES LEWANDOWSKI SаY?
Lewandowski told SPORT BILD : “Saying goodbye [to Barcelona] was definitely not on my mind this summer. I feel like my health is good again. I had health problems in the first half season. Things are better in 2024. As long as I feel as good as I do now and realize in training no one runs faster than me, I want to continue playing as of today : This will continue for at least another two years. Only when I realize that I am no longer at my best physically will I start thinking. But that is not the case now.
“I haven’t bothered with the Saudi Pro League for a second so far. Neither Saudi nor American. It doesn’t make sense at the moment. Sometimes what’s important is what my heart and mind sаy. When I was 38 and feeling pаin, I had to ask myself: Do I want to continue? But I don’t want to plan that far ahead This highest altitude is due in 2026.”
