Jamal Musiala names two former Brazil stars alongside Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in the top five players he has seen

Star player Jamal Musiala of Bayern Munich has proclaimed Lionel Messi to be the best player he has ever watched.

Musiala selected Cristiano Ronaldo as the number two player, followed by a legendary Barcelona player and a previous Real Madrid sensation. The top five is completed by a striker who has played for both Real Madrid and Barcelona.  Brazil had two players in Musiala’s top five who were also teammates.

Musiala, a 21-year-old who has been associated with both Manchester City and Chelsea, acknowledged that he had a hard time making a decision.

In addition, he decided to include a player about whom he has heard much since joining Bayern. 

With nearly 500 goals for Bayern Munich and 68 goals in 62 games for West Germany, Gerd Muller was one of Musiala’s top five strikers.

With 365 goals in 427 games, Muller holds the record for most goals scored in the Bundesliga. 

“Some names are hard for me to mention since I didn’t see them play,” he admitted. This was much ahead of my time. Pele, Maradona, and Gerd Muller of Bayern Munich are all names that come to mind when one discusses famous footballers.
