Star player Jamal Musiala of Bayern Munich has proclaimed Lionel Messi to be the best player he has ever watched.

Musiala selected Cristiano Ronaldo as the number two player, followed by a legendary Barcelona player and a previous Real Madrid sensation. The top five is completed by a striker who has played for both Real Madrid and Barcelona.  Brazil had two players in Musiala’s top five who were also teammates.

Musiala, a 21-year-old who has been associated with both Manchester City and Chelsea, acknowledged that he had a hard time making a decision.

When asked to choose the five best players he has ever watched play, Musiala named Ronaldinho, Messi, Zinedine Zidane, and Ronaldo. Portuguese Ronaldo, the one from the past. During his tenure at Barcelona from 2003 to 2008, the Brazilian superstar Ronaldinho created countless unforgettable moments with his trademark flair.

Meanwhile, Zidane was a star with Juventus before playing for Real from 2001 to 2006.

Before he became a superstar for Real Madrid and Barcelona, he was a member of Ronaldo’s Brazilian national team.

In the past, we have asked Musiala to rank all players, even those he never got to witness play, in his top five. 

“You have Ronaldo and Messi, one and two,” he remarked.

Ronaldinho (L) and Ronaldo (R) were among Musiala’s top-performing players he’s witnessed.Zinedine Zidane, the legendary midfielder from Real Madrid, was also one of Musiala’s five picks.

Musiala also named Diego Maradona and iconic former great Pele in his top five.

In addition, he decided to include a player about whom he has heard much since joining Bayern. 

With nearly 500 goals for Bayern Munich and 68 goals in 62 games for West Germany, Gerd Muller was one of Musiala’s top five strikers.

With 365 goals in 427 games, Muller holds the record for most goals scored in the Bundesliga. 

“Some names are hard for me to mention since I didn’t see them play,” he admitted. This was much ahead of my time. Pele, Maradona, and Gerd Muller of Bayern Munich are all names that come to mind when one discusses famous footballers.
