An easy win at home helped Barcelona take 2nd place from Girona.
Robert Lewandowski and his teammates welcomed Real Sociedad when they realized Girona’s opportunity to regain 2nd place, the club was held to a 2-2 draw by Deportivo Alaves in round 35.
Lewandowski led Barca’s attack on the day the Catalan representative dominated his opponents.

Lewandowski left the field so Raphinha took over the penalty kick. The Brazilian player set the score 2-0 for Barca from a distance of 11 meters.
Raphinha celebrated by showing off her shirt with a message of support for her home country of Brazil, which is facing difficulties due to severe flooding.
Winning by 2 goals, Blaugrana overtook Girona to return to second place in La Liga. They are 1 point ahead of Girona after round 35.
