Nunez, whose contract with Anfield expires in 2028, played in 36 Premier League games last season, scoring eight goals and setting up eleven. The Uruguay international finished the season with a respectable comeback to goal scoring, but he was scoreless in all eight of his remaining outings.

“I used to gaze at them a lot, and that had an impact on me. Anyone who claims that unfavorable remarks made about them don’t effect them is lying; you will always be impacted by bad remarks made about you.

Nunez continued, saying, “They tell me everything, but I don’t use their remarks, so I disregard them. On social media, I never read the nasty comments—at least not right now. I don’t even look at the positive things. I rely on my family if I’m having a horrible game.

“When things go badly for me, I get hot, but I try to laugh with my family and not show my son the anger I have, what happened in the game is already there, it’s already happened, and there is always revenge.”
