SAD NEWS: Rodri’s unbeaten streak with Man City ends at 74 games and 475 days 🤯

Man United officially won against Man City in the FA CUP final . An outcome that even the most optimistic people never expected.

The 2-1 victory helped MU win the throne for the 13th time in England’s most prestigious tournament. This result not only ended Man City’s ambition to win the FA Cup and Premier League twice in a row, but their star Rodri also ended a streak of 74 consecutive unbeaten matches.

On a day of somewhat under-strength competition, Rodri was unable to help Pep Guardiola’s team overcome difficulties by allowing MU to take a 2-goal lead in the first half. For the first time in 475 days, Rodri ended his record streak. 74 matches unbeaten, since March 2023.

On MU’s side, this match also brings a lot of meaning. After a season of finishing in 8th place, Erik ten Hag steered that crisis boat to the FA CUP championship. Ten Hag is also the first coach to win a domestic cup final against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

Manchester United are the first team to have two teenage players score for them in an FA Cup final. Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo make history at Wembley. The future of the Red Devils certainly still has many promises ahead.
