On Monday, Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice in Al-Nassr’s 4-2 victory over rivals Al-Ittihad, shattering two more goalscoring records.
The Portuguese sensation was at the peak of his powers as he gave the Saudi Arabian hosts the lead at the end of the first half and then doubled that lead in the 69th.
Near the end of the game, Al-Ittihad, which included former Chelsea player N’Golo Kante and former Liverpool midfielder Fabinho, attempted to respond with two goals, but they were unable to reverse the damage done by Ronaldo and company.
The 39-year-old Ronaldo set yet another record with his incredible performance, making the evening all about him.
The former Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Juventus player secured his place as the new record holder for the most goals scored in a single Saudi Pro League season with two goals against Al-Ittihad.

The 39-year-old was pleased to see his part enable Al-Nassr to win their season-ending league match 4-2.Ronaldo scored his 34th goal of the season in the first half of the match, and he would go on to break the previous mark with 35 goals in just 31 league games in the Middle East.
The previous record holder for most goals scored in a season was Abderrazak Hamdallah of Morocco.
Ronaldo is currently the first player in history to be a top scorer in four separate leagues thanks to his most recent accomplishments.
In response to his most recent accomplishments, Ronaldo boldly declared on social media, “I don’t follow the records, the records follow me.”

Before going to Real Madrid a little over a year later, the Portugal captain scored goals 31 times in 38 games that year, matching Alan Shearer’s record.
During his nine years in the Spanish city, Ronaldo faced off against Lionel Messi three times for the La Liga top scoring title. On each of those occasions, the former Barcelona player was defeated.
After joining Juventus, Ronaldo carried on his impressive play, winning the Italian top scoring title with 29 goals in 33 Serie A games.
