Anthony Martial made an emotional announcement on social media that he will be leaving Manchester United when his contract ends this summer. It was widely anticipated that the Frenchman will leave as a free agent in June, and he has now confirmed this to the club and his supporters with a poignant statement.
An Instagram post said, “Dear supporters of Manchester United. I am writing to you today to sаy goodbye, and I am writing with a lot of emotion.
“After nine incredible years at the club, the time has come for me to turn a new page in my career.”The greatest fans in the world, you, have given me the great honor of wearing this jersey and watching me play ever since I moved here in 2015!
“You have always been there for me, through good times and bad. I have always found motivation in your dedication and drive.
“I want to sincerely thank you for everything that you have done for me. I will always cherish the memories you gave me, the music you sang, and your love for the club.

Despite injuries keeping Martial from reaching his full potential, his unforgettable debut goal against Liverpool is the highlight of an amazing highlight reel spanning the previous nine years.
Having made 317 appearances for United, he exits the team having scored 90 goals and contributed 47 assists.
