On May 27, 2024, the Germany national football team officially began their EURO 2024 journey with their first training session in Blankenhain, Thuringia. The session took place in an upbeat and positive atmosphere, with nearly all of the called-up players present.

To kick off the training session, coach Hansi Flick took some time to talk to and motivate his players. The players then proceeded to warm up thoroughly with fitness and team coordination exercises. Next, they focused on tactical training according to the 4-2-3-1 formation that is expected to be used at EURO.

Despite being only the first training session, the spirit and form of the German national team players already showed a high level of determination for the upcoming EURO campaign. The session went smoothly and without any unfortunate injuries.

Tomorrow, the German national team will continue training in Blankenhain before moving to Herzogenaurach on June 1. There, they will have more friendly matches against Ukraine on June 3 and Greece on June 7 to finalize their squad and playing style before entering EURO 2024.

With a young and talented squad, along with the skillful guidance of coach Hansi Flick, the German national team is considered one of the top contenders for the EURO 2024 title. The successful first training session has set the stage for a promising EURO journey for the “Panzer”.
