In a recent interview with Sky Sports, “Gray Tigers” Board of Directors member Karl-Heinz Rummenigge revealed the identity of the new captain to succeed Tuchel.

Vincent Kompany is the name that the Bundesliga giant places his trust in. Rummenigge revealed that coach Pep Guardiola recommended the Man City legend to lead his old club.

“Pep said extremely positive things about Vincent’s talent to us,” the Bayern leader revealed. “Vincent is the captain under Pep at Man City and he continues to follow him when leading Burnley. Pep understands Vincent, so his opinion is really worth taking seriously .”

Kompany spent 3 years working with Pep at Etihad. During Man City’s matches with Burnley last season, the “Cityzens” captain always had positive words praising his former student’s leadership talent.
