Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal would love to play with Nico Williams at club level.

The Athletic Club player has been linked to the Catalans, but his high release clause makes a transfer tough.

Yamal was asked about Williams while on international duty with Spain and revealed their close relationship off the pitch.

“I have a better time when I play with Nico,” he told Mundo Deportivo.

“We started with the first call. I liked him and Balde.”

Yamal said when asked if he wanted Nico at Barcelona.

I think we play well together. But this question is for him, he said.

“We rarely discuss moving to Barcelona. We try to have fun because we only see each other on the national team.”

Yamal and Williams will play together for Spain at Euro 2024, starting Saturday against Croatia.
