Did Gary Lineker make vulgar jokes about Ronaldo? The BBC presenter surprised viewers with strange comments as the Portuguese star received treatment before extra time in the quarter-final loss to France

Gary Lineker caught BBC viewers off guard with a surprising comment about Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo.

Portugal crashed out of the European Championship with a penalty shootout defeat to France, with Joao Felix missing the decisive spot-kick.

Ronaldo played the full duration and scored for Portugal during the shootout, but before extra-time he needed attention from physios as manager Roberto Martinez delivered a team-talk.

Rio Ferdinand, who was on punditry for the game, spotted  Ronaldo getting massaged on both legs and said: ‘He has two masseuses on his legs there! What’s going on there? One on each leg.’

Lineker then appeared to make a crude sex joke as replied: ‘Thankfully, he hasn’t got three.’
