Bayern Munich have carried out a medical on Joao Palhinha ahead of his £47m move from Fulham.

Accordingly, Palhinha completed a medical examination and is preparing to sign a 4-year contract with Bayern.

Vincent Kompany’s Bayern have agreed to pay £43.2m up front for Palhinha , plus £4.2m in add-ons. If the deal goes through it would be a record fee for Fulham.

Bayern tried to sign Palhinha last year but the deal collapsed at the final stage. Palhinha can focus on his club future after Portugal were knocked out of EURO 2024 after losing on penalties to France.

After joining Fulham from Sporting in 2022, Palhinha has played 79 games for the Cottagers, scoring eight goals. He has won 31 caps for Portugal since making his international debut in 2021.

The Bavarians have also officially welcomed another quality player from the Premier League. After months of speculation, Bayern Munich have confirmed the signing of Michael Olise for £52 million from Crystal Palace on a five-year contract.
