One of the NBA’s famed foot sizes has sparked controversy among fans.
Victor Wembanyama, a French athlete who plays for the Metropolitans 92 in the LNB Pro A, is said to wear a shoe size of 20.5 (European size 58), and it’s no surprise. The 19-year-old Centre basketball player stands between 7-foot-4 and 7-foot-5 tall and has a remarkable wingspan of 8 feet.
Wembanyama’s enormous shoe size is not the only factor distinguishing him from other NBA players with large feet.
His height and large shoe size are not entirely unexpected. At the age of 13, he stood 6 feet 6 inches. His parents are also extremely tall. Wembanyama’s father is 6-foot-6, and his mother is 6-foot-3, so it’s no surprise that he has large proportions.
The basketball star is expected to be the top choice in the 2023 NBA Draft for the San Antonio Spurs. LeBron James has referred to him as “a generational talent,” and sports fans have drawn comparisons between the two superstars on several occasions.
The teen’s height and wingspan alone distinguish him from other standouts in the league. If draughted, he will become one of the NBA’s tallest players in history.
Wembanyama like trainers by Adidas and Nike. The French basketball star has worn a variety of shoes in games, including the Adidas Dame 8, New Balance Two Wxy V3, Nike KD 15, and Nike Kobe 6 Protro.
