Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets has returned to Serbia as a national hero.

After guiding Team Serbia to a bronze medal in men’s basketball at the Paris Olympics, Serbian citizens are even more proud of their iconic big man.

They are so proud that they give him bottles of wine whenever he is out in public.

There has been a lot of wine and celebration for Jokic lately.

Despite their desire to win gold, the Serbian team was pleased with their third-place finish in Paris.

It was a wonderful monument to how many quality players the club has and how far they’ve come in recent years.

Many people believe Serbia will only improve and will remain a constant fixture in the World Cup, Olympics, and all other forms of international basketball for many years to come.

Of course, Jokic will be in the forefront of whatever they do.

He just had another fantastic season with the Nuggets, averaging 26.4 points, 12.4 rebounds, and 9 assists per game while shooting an incredible 58.3% from the floor and winning his third MVP award.

He is unquestionably one of the league’s best players.

He is a blessing to Serbia and the Nuggets.

Jokic will have some time to relax at home following the Olympics before returning to Denver for training camp and 2024-25 preparations.

Thus, he should savour the wine while it lasts.
