Nikola Jokic, a Denver Nuggets star, has declared again that the NBA offseason is his favourite time of year.
The three-time MVP has been enjoying an early break from the court since his Nuggets were eliminated in the second round of the 2024 playoffs.
After Denver won Game 5 against the Miami Heat to clinch the championship, the six-time All-Star was informed that he would have to stay in the United States until the team’s championship parade later that week.
Nikola Jokic, a Denver Nuggets player, was seen dancing at a party during the NBA offseason.
Jokic showcased his moves while taking an early break from the court.
Denver lost the Eastern Conference Semifinals to the Minnesota Timberwolves in seven games.
The loss meant that Jokic’s offseason began in the second half of May.
And the 6-foot-11 centre appears to be making good use of his free time.
Earlier this week, a video surfaced on social media showing the Serbian demonstrating his dance moves at a party.
NBA fans loved seeing Jokic, 29, try to unwind after a difficult season.
“Bro don’t even remember he’s an NBA player in the offseason,” accompanied by a laughing emoji.
“Basketball is a side hustle for this guy,” he wrote, along with a laughing emoji.
“Can you imagine if Jokic liked basketball 1/4 as much as he likes the offseason,” another person said.
“It should be illegal to be this tall and this damn smooth,” a participant wrote.
Jokic couldn’t wait for the offseason to begin, even though the Nuggets won the championship last season.
No, Jokic replied, sounding very disappointed.
I needed to leave for home.
During the same press conference, Jokic was amused by the overwhelming number of congratulations he received.
During the 2023-24 regular season, Jokic averaged 26.4 points, 12.4 rebounds, 9.0 assists, and 1.4 steals.
Meanwhile, the NBA Finals in 2024 are proving to be a heavily biassed event.
The Boston Celtics won Game 3 on Wednesday, 106-99, to take a 3-0 series lead over the Dallas Mavericks.
After fouling out with four minutes remaining in the third game, Mavs star Luka Doncic was chastised for his lacklustre performance.
Doncic admitted he let his teammates down and accepted responsibility for his mistakes in the crucial game.
“It was tough, probably was not the smartest thing,” he said of his first postseason foul out.
