Tom Holland was spotted having lunch with Zendaya following the cancellation of his theatre performance

Tom Holland and Zendaya were recently seen together in London. Supposedly, on May 12, the actor from Spiderman: No Way Home took her out to lunch. This passionate rendezvous follows the cancellation of his highly anticipated preview of the West End production of Romeo and Juliet just one day earlier. Due to “technical” difficulties, the production was cancelled, despite being scheduled to take place at the Duke of York’s Theatre. The 12-week limited series is now set to begin “on Monday, May 13.” Tom Holland spent Sunday afternoon with his real-life Juliet, Zendaya, before stepping into the shoes of the tragic William Shakespeare figure.

Images of Tom Holland with a short, cropped hairdo have been circulating online. He probably wanted to play Romeo, so he shaved off his signature shaggy hair. His hair was cropped short on top and buzzed back and forth. The performer sported a pair of black slacks and a brown polo shirt. His shoulders were diagonally strapped with a cross bag.

Zendaya wore a more relaxed outfit for the occasion as well. The Dune actress paired loose-fitting charcoal trousers with a baggy pale blue blouse. A large grey purse was in her possession. She completed her outfit for lunch with a topknot, little jewellery, and cosmetics. Photographs surfaced of Tom Holland and Zendaya making their way to the restaurant while holding hands.

More than sixty thousand spectators paid to see Tom Holland play Romeo in February, as reported by the Daily Mail. Stage production “cannot go ahead as planned due to the technical aspects of the production needing further preparation,” Deadline said, but they only found out about it a day before the performance. According to Jo Allan PR, the play’s press representative, “no other previews are being cancelled” (aside from the May 11 incident).

According to the Daily Mail, Tom Holland was last seen making his way to the Duke of York’s Theatre on May 10 for final rehearsals. As he left, he hid his face from the prying eyes of the media. Aside from Jamie Lloyd directing the play, Francesca Amewudah-Rivers plays the lead role of Juliet. May 23rd is the official opening night.

Zendaya, meantime, is enjoying the success of her new picture Challengers. The sports drama, which is being directed by Luca Guadagnino, has Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist in significant parts.
