Nikola Jokic revealed on Saturday what it’s like to be Luka Doncic’s teammate.
The MVP-worthy combo teamed up for the “Night of the Dragon” demonstration match at the Stozice Arena in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The ceremony commemorated the official retirement of Slovenian legend Goran Dragic.
Doncic and Jokic sat beside one other on the bench. The Joker played up to his reputation by constantly mocking the Dallas Mavericks superstar whenever he had the opportunity. At one point, Jokic poured water over Doncic.
After his bottle was gone, Jokic simply struck Luka on the back of the head.
The games continued on the pitch, with the two constantly pulling off extraordinary feats.
Jokic even performed a self-oop, which we probably won’t see in the NBA anytime soon.
Dragic’s farewell game was a high-profile event. In addition to Doncic and Jokic, former NBA MVPs Steve Nash and Dirk Nowitzki attended the event.
Other NBA players who attended the competition were Nikola Vucevic, Boban Marjanovic, Robin Lopez, and Bogdan Bogdanovic.
Even Dragic’s old colleague Chris Bosh was present. The Miami Heat legend was not originally supposed to participate, but he entered the game and scored two points.
Despite the fact that Doncic and Jokic led a star-studded team, they lost to Dragic’s 106-86.
