BREAKING: Jamal Murray has agreed on a four-year, $208 million maximum contract extension with the Nuggets

Jamal Murray plans to stay in Colorado for the foreseeable future. The great point guard has agreed to a four-year, $208 million deal extension to continue with the Denver Nuggets, according to several reports.

Murray is expected to get $244 million in guaranteed payments over the next five years under the latest extension. In 2019, the 27-year-old guard extended his contract with Denver for five years and $170 million.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Bobby Marks, Murray’s contract will feature annual increases beginning in 2025, as well as $36 million from the final year of his current agreement. The deal will total $57.5 million in the 2028-2029 season.

Murray was draughted by Denver in 2016 and has been a crucial contributor for the Nuggets over the last few seasons. He has been the starter since 2019.

Murray averaged 21.2 points per game this season, second only to reigning NBA MVP Nikola Jokić. He also had 4.1 rebounds and 6.5 assists.
