Nikola Jokic, of the Denver Nuggets, has returned to Serbia as a national hero.
After leading Team Serbia to a bronze medal in men’s basketball at the Paris Olympics, Serbians are even more proud of their iconic big man.
They are so proud that they offer him bottles of wine anytime he appears in public.
According to ClutchPoints, Nina Krunic tweeted a video of Jokic walking down the street when a fan throws him a free bottle of wine.

There has been a lot of wine and celebration for Jokic recently.
Despite their aim for gold, the Serbian team was satisfied with their third-place performance in Paris.
It was a beautiful tribute to the club’s many talented players and how far they’ve gone in recent years.
Many people feel Serbia will continue to progress and will be a regular participant in the World Cup, Olympics, and other forms of international basketball for many years to come.
Of course, Jokic will be in the forefront of whatever they do.
He recently had another tremendous season with the Nuggets, averaging 26.4 points, 12.4 rebounds, and 9 assists per game while shooting an incredible 58.3% from the field and won his third MVP title.
He is clearly one of the league’s top players.
He is a blessing for Serbia and the Nuggets.
Jokic will have some time to unwind at home after the Olympics before returning to Denver for training camp for 2024-25 preparations.
Thus, he should enjoy the wine while it lasts.
