Jokic, widely regarded as the greatest basketball player of all time, led the Denver Nuggets to their first NBA title on June 12.

However, it does not appear to be Jokic’s top priority sport; he seems to spend more time on his other love, horse racing.

“He said, ‘My job is basketball, but my passion is horse racing,'” driver and trainer Tim Tеtrick told the New York Daily News’ Stеfan Bondy. “[Jokic] said, ‘I would tradе jobs with you in a hеartbеat if it paid bеttеr.'”

Jokic has a deep passion for horses. He spent most of his time at the stables caring for his favorite horses. Jokic can still talk about horses all day and views the stables as his life’s treasure.

Jokic and Trick met several years ago over Facebook.

“I am just a regular guy.” “Low-key,” replied Trick. “You wouldn’t know he makes $40 million a year to play basketball. He arrives at the barn in sweatpants. Then he puts on his training gear and hops in; he just enjoys hanging out.”

Jokic paid a visit to The Big M in December 2021 and saw the action in the rear paddock. When ‘The Joker’ came to town to play the Brooklyn Nets and New York Knicks in March of this year, he spent some time at Brett Pеlling’s farm.

“He stopped in the barn earlier this spring,” said Pеlling. “He arrived at six in the morning. He is knowledgable about horses. He’s willing to listen and prefers to talk about horses instead of basketball. He has a strong desire to learn. How do you train? How do you feel? Very nice questions. He has a strong foundational grasp.”He was clearly absorbing information.”

Jokic, 28, was at a farm in Sombor, a city in northern Serbia. He fell in love with horses as a child, particularly racehorses, and spent six years working as a stall attendant.
