Despite the setback, Nikola Jokic and the gang remained positive as they headed to McGillin’s, Philadelphia’s oldest continuously running pub in Center City, for some post-match refreshments.
Manager Rene Rodriguez stated that after midnight, guard Collin Gillespie, a former Villanova outstanding player, entered the tavern and requested that a few tables be pushed together for the squad. Gillespie is now with the Nuggets.
Jokic entered shortly after, along with a few other players and assistant coaches. Since Tuesday is McGillin’s wing night, Jokic and the Nuggets ordered fifty wings and a couple of Bud Lights.
