Snoop Dogg, the legendary rapper, is the next major person to appear on the All the Smoke podcast. The 52-year-old discussed a variety of things there, including who he believes are the five best players in the NBA right now.
“That mother from the Nuggets, (Nikola) Jokic,” laughed Snoop. ”
“That’s him, off the tippy. When Ja Morant is on the court, I can’t even front, which is unusual. “He’s a goon with the spoon.Snoop applauded Morant for improving his outside shot, saying he deserves to be rewarded when he does well.
“I like a man from the Oklahoma City Thunder (Shai Gilgeous-Alexander),” says Snoop.
“He plays like Snoop Dogg. I like him. Giannis (Antetokounmpo) has been turning his lights on and off, guy. (Joel) Embiid is the same way. Wait a minute, Embiid, keep his light on a little longer. I’ll throw him in there.”
Snoop had many huge names to choose from for his final pick, but he chose a budding superstar.
“And one more?” “The young goon from Minnesota (Anthony Edwards),” Snoop said.
“Those are my top five right now. There are no Lakers in there right now. There’s no disrespect. (LeBron James) you’re coming off the bench because you’re old and have played all that game. “You still show up.”
Ultimately, Nikola Jokic, Ja Morant, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Joel Embiid, and Anthony Edwards make up the starting lineup, with LeBron James receiving an honorable mention. During his 21st NBA season, the 39-year-old averages 24.8 points, 7.1 rebounds, 7.5 assists, 1.3 steals, and 0.6 blocks a game. Snoop praised the footballer for his continuous success.
Taking everything into account, that is an absolutely amazing list. I was surprised to learn how much Snoop loathed Giannis Antetokounmpo, in particular. While everyone is free to express their own views, several of these top five rankings demand Giannis. Stephen Curry, Luka Doncic, and Kevin Durant are also noticeably absent from this list, with none of them even named.
