Here we go again: Nikola Jokic arrives to Sweden and Solvalla to support his close friend in the horse racing championship

Nikola Jokić recently wrapped up his NBA season after a hard-fought series against Minnesota, where Denver was defeated 4-3 in the Western Conference semifinals. As is customary for Jokić, the end of the basketball season marks the beginning of another passion: horse racing.

Titta, världsstjärnan dyker upp på Solvalla

The Serbian superstar is well-known for his love of horses, particularly those he keeps in Sombor. He has participated in major races throughout Europe, and last year he made headlines in Italy. This year, his focus shifted to Sweden and the prestigious Solvalla racetrack.

At Solvalla, Jokić was on hand to support his friend Alessandro Gocciadoro, whose horse, Bengurion Jet, competed in a high-stakes elite race. Jokić traveled to Stockholm to witness the event, where his own horse celebrated a successful run.

According to social media footage, Jokić enjoys mingling and chatting with drivers during the trotting races, often opting not to give interviews to the media. Instead, he prefers to engage with fans and enjoy the atmosphere.

In addition to the excitement of the races, Jokić received a thoughtful gift of flowers from the organizers, along with a standing ovation from the audience, highlighting his popularity.

Standing at 2.11 meters, Jokić was also seen conversing with Solvalla’s sporting director Anders Malmrot, possibly discussing plans for his future, including aspirations of becoming a trotting coach.

As Jokić transitions from basketball to horse racing, his dedication to both sports continues to shine, showcasing the multifaceted interests of this NBA star.
