Nikola Jokic looks like he could start for Serbia’s national volleyball team as lobbing buttery sets

Nikola Jokic is undoubtedly one of the top multi-sport athletes in the world. The three-time MVP and NBA champion not only excels in basketball but also has a background in water polo, and it seems he could easily transition to professional volleyball.

During the Nuggets’ recent trip to New Orleans, the team incorporated some cross-sport training while practicing at Tulane’s facility. After finding a volleyball left behind by the Green Wave, Jokic decided to get creative with his warm-up, passing the ball around with teammates and showcasing impressive skills during the session.

Growing up in Serbia, where professional volleyball is highly regarded, Jokic has likely had some experience with the sport. His natural talent was evident as he executed perfect passes and sets, demonstrating remarkable competence. His sets were smooth and precise, showing a level of skill that would impress even the most seasoned players.

At 6-foot-11 and 284 pounds, Jokic would fit seamlessly into the volleyball scene. The Serbian national team, known for its strength and skill, features players ranging from 6-foot-3 to 6-foot-10. With a year of training, one of basketball’s greatest centers could easily slide into a starting position on a volleyball team, adding valuable height and athleticism to the roster.
